Erin Montes

Ms. Montes entered the teaching field in 2009 as an instructional assistant. She has been a full-fledged 6th grade teacher for the past two years at Roosevelt. Her academic experience during this time has allowed her to witness firsthand the joy and fun of reading. SCICON, 6th grade camp, has also proven to be an exciting and fun experience with students and fellow colleagues.  montes

Although born in Los Angeles, she grew up in the small community of Dinuba; indeed, she proudly attended Lincoln Elementary School and graduated from Dinuba High School in 2002. Ms. Montes capped off her college career by receiving her teaching credential from Fresno Pacific University.

Some of the hobbies she enjoys outside of teaching include traveling, running, and reading of course. Shopping is not too bad either. In response to the question of why she teaches, Ms. Montes replies, "I teach for the outcome, not the income. I believe that it is a special calling to make a difference in children's lives."

Myron Buller

Mr. Buller has been a teacher for Dinuba Unified for 29 years and believes it is his mission in life. He serves our primary students as a 2nd grade teacher. Some of his other educational activities include committee service for the DUSD BCII team and the PAR/ insurance groups. His teaching credentials allow him to act in the capacity of a principal if need be. Whenever Principal Gonzalez is off campus for some reason, Mr. Buller can fill-in. buller

Although born 'just up the road' in Reedley, he and his family made Dinuba their home. He went to Fresno Pacific University, graduating in 1987. The following year he received his teaching credential. Mr. Buller's hobbies reflect an affinity for an active and outdoors lifestyle. He enjoys being a fitness instructor in addition to his passion for raising horses and cattle. You may also find him hiking and backpacking in the Sierra Nevadas.

This veteran teacher states, "Learning is a passion. I want to impart a love of learning to all my students. I want to help people learn new things. I have many memories, but the one I like most is the joy of seeing kids learn things for the first time."
