Greetings!

My name is Monica Acosta and I am very excited to share with you a little about my professional experience.  My education background: I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Fresno Pacific University.  I selected teaching as a career because of all the amazing professionals that helped guide me to through my education. I wanted to be able to serve and give all the students that I encounter the same educational experience that I encountered growing up.  I want students to see that education opens many doors for a better life.

I have been teaching since 2008 as an elementary teacher.  I have taught two years of kindergarten, one year in six-grade, one year in third grade, one year as a reading intervention teacher, and I have nine wonderful years teaching second grade at Wilson Elementary in Dinuba. For the past two years, I have enjoyed being an Induction mentor to an amazing and dedicated new third-grade teacher at our school site, Wilson Elementary in Dinuba.
 

This upcoming school year I will continue in my current teaching position at Wilson Elementary as a second-grade teacher.  I am excited to continue working with you and our community through our educational journeys!  I look forward to serving our community.
