Instructional Services
Welcome to Instructional Services
The Office of Instructional Services provides supplemental services to support the core educational program. The Instructional Services Department oversees state and federal categorical funds and the requirements of these funds that directly flow to school district programs and sites. Compliance monitoring in the use of the funding is an ongoing responsibility of this office. Our office works closely with the Business and Finance Department to ensure funds are allocated and used appropriately and all required reports are completed in a timely manner. Oversight entails the applications for the funding, monitoring the receipt of the funding, budget development and distribution of funding. Federal funds include Title I, Title II, Title III, Migrant, and Perkins.
This department also coordinates the state CAASPP, and ELPAC testing programs. This includes setting the testing calendar, providing training to site coordinators, ensuring accurate data for state reporting, and interpreting test results to assist in making decisions for the district's rigorous instructional program.
Sites receive assistance and support for the development of annual School Site Plans (SPSAs), meeting Williams visit compliance, along with other Federal and State Accountability requirements to include the Local Education Agency (LEA) Plan, the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), and Comprehensive School Safety Plans.
