Welcome to Expanded Learning
Dinuba Unified provides an Expanded Learning Opportunities Program for our students. Working with the Tulare County Choices Program, the City of Dinuba After-School Program, and ProYouth, the District’s Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELO-P) will consist of daily educational, recreational, and enrichment components. Students receive homework assistance, academic instruction, and fun enrichment activities. It begins immediately after the end of the regular school day and is open each school day until 6:00 PM. DUSD teacher-led after-school clubs are a highlight of the program. We also provide intersession and summer programs/camps for all TK-6 students using district staff and outside organizations.
Our highest priority is providing a safe, nurturing environment where Dinuba Unified School students can experiment with learning, develop their potential, and grow in the District’s Extended Learning Opportunity Program (ELO-P). To support our ELO-P, Dinuba Unified has fostered partnerships with three organizations: the Tulare County Choices After-School Program, the City of Dinuba After-School Program, and ProYouth. Each program strives to provide safe environments for expanded learning at all six elementary sites and junior high, while serving approximately 1,400 students after school. In 26-27, the program will serve the two intermediate schools as well.
Our goals are as follows:
● Provide targeted Academic Clubs.
● Provide high-quality S.T.E.A.M. experiences that connect to career pathways.
● Provide Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs.
● Engage students in healthy choices, wellness, and Physical Fitness Activities.
