Superintendent's Welcome
"Dinuba Unified is Soaring to New Heights"
On April 5, 2022, two F-35 Navy Stealth fighter jets flew over the groundbreaking ceremony located on the future site of the new Dinuba High School. The flyover marked the beginning of the groundbreaking, but it also ushered in a transformative period for our students, staff, and community. Dinuba's new high school will be built on a 77-acre parcel of land and will not only include the two 2-story academic wings and classrooms, but also four separate Career Technical Education (CTE) buildings.
These four buildings include a 5-acre agricultural facility, a medical academy building for our nationally-distinguished Medical Academy, a building for our Linked Learning Gold Certified Construction and Engineering Academy, and a building to house a transportation education building.
Our vision to end generational poverty through education and our mission to maximize opportunities for college, career, and the teaching of life skills remain our focus. Our district's goals for this year are to enhance school safety and to accelerate student learning.
Regarding school safety, DUSD has installed new state-of-the-art security cameras at all of our school sites. We are partnering with the Sandy Hook "Say Something" - Anonymous Reporting System. This will allow our students and parents to provide information anonymously about any incidents which may pose a danger to any of our students. We will also create a school safety team to provide audits of our safety protocols. This will be in addition to having two full-time School Resource Officers for our schools. We also have teams of psychologists, counselors, social workers, and mentors available to address the socio-emotional and trauma needs of our students. As I have in the past, I will be scheduling school-based parent meetings to share more information about your future high school and our safe school priority.
Have a great 2023-2024 school year!
