Mr. Bill Weller
I attended Fresno schools and participated in football and baseball at McLane H.S. where I graduated in 1966. I then attended Fresno City College as a business major and played football 1966-1967. Then entered Hayward State college as a business major/political science minor and played football for two years (1968-1969). I left Hayward to finish my education at Fresno State. I changed my major to Physical Education and continued with political science minor. I earned my teaching credential from Fresno State University in 1972.
I began teaching and coaching at Selma from 1973-1978. I served as head football coach and administrator/teacher at Fowler Unified School district from 1978-1989. Arrived at Dinuba Unified School District working as Vice-Principal of DHS for eight years. I then became Principal at Sierra Vista and later was elevated to Director of all Alternative Education programs, including Sierra Vista HS, Ronald Reagan HS, and Dinuba Adult School. I was assigned to Alternative Ed. from 1999-2009.
One of our many accomplishments was the establishment of Ronald Reagan Independent Study High School. It could not have been done without the School Districts resources and teacher personnel that formed the framework and foundation for a school that scored highly with the State during our accreditation process. Ronald Reagan HS is highly regarded as one of the best independent study programs in the State.
I semi-retired in 2009 to become an adult school teacher and still get excited coming to work with our many varied students that range in age from 18-60.
