Immunization Requirement for 7th Grade
All students entering and transferring into 7th grade will need proof of a Whooping Cough Booster (Tdap) and 2 MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines to register and start the school year at Washington Intermediate School.
Please make sure to check with your doctor's office to update your child's immunization card. Upon completion, present the updated card to the Roosevelt Health Office: School Nurse. Any delays will cause a hold to be placed on your child's registration for WIS.

Roosevelt Elementary is one of six elementary schools located in Dinuba, California. Our campus is home to almost 690 students in transitional kindergarten through grade six. We have a full-time academic program improvement (API) coach and Learning Director. Our teachers and staff are dedicated to ensuring the academic success of every student and providing a safe and productive learning experience. The school holds high expectations for the academic and social development of all students. Curriculum planning, staff development, and assessment activities are focused on assisting students in mastering the state academic content standards, as well as increasing the overall student achievement of all subgroups. In addition, we teach students to be students of character. We believe that excellence in academics and respectful attitudes and behaviors are the key to success now and for the future. We believe that there is no limit to what our students can become or achieve.
Parents and community members are important to our academic program. We welcome your participation in school activities and encourage you to join our PTO, School Site Council (SSC), and English Language Learner Advisory Council (ELAC). Our staff looks forward to working with you and our students on another year of academic success.
All stakeholders are of incredible significance to the high standards set at Roosevelt. As a learning community, everyone understands the academic excellence and civic responsibility fostered at Roosevelt.
We invite you to explore our new website and seek out people of interest that will answer any questions you may have.
California is field testing a new website designed to help communities across the state access important information about K–12 districts and schools – including ours. Called the California School Dashboard (Coming March 15, 2017), the site features easy-to-read reports on multiple measures of school success.
A new year always starts with the excitement and desire to set new goals and the means in which to achieve them. Our January Rams in Focus provide perspectives on setting these kinds of goals from year one to that of the veteran. All three personalities exemplify what it means to be a Ram role model.
In the month of December, we recognize two veteran teachers from Roosevelt's inaugural year and a new teacher whose mission is reading improvement. All three of these Rams are excellent examples of what it means to truly give one's time and talents for others during this season of giving.
So many people to be thankful for at Roosevelt. In this month's Rams in Focus, we highlight staff who each have unique talents to draw the best out of students. In particular, we have people making moves from back East to stake out a new life story in Dinuba to the multitalented who add a spark to each school day.
In our first edition of Rams in Focus, we highlight two teachers who both have unique perspectives on the craft of teaching. One has served a veteran-number of years for our primary students while the other is just in the initial stages of her teaching career with the intermediate students. Take a look at these Ram teachers.
