Mrs. Smith
I started teaching in 1986 and have taught in a wide variety of settings from K to college. I love my current assignment as the Science teacher at Sierra Vista! Science practices and education are keys to success! And I want my students to succeed! GO Aztecs!
Currently the courses I teach include:
Biology and Earth Science
Students earn credit in class through:
Keeping their interactice notebooks up to date and submitting them for grading
Completion of Google Classroom assignment
Exams and writing assignments
Submitting Portfolio assignments (short often single day lessons or science world magazine studies) under a calendar cover sheet
Credit is awarded for completed work. Notebooks must score at least a 7 (70%) to receive credit.
Overall the classroom expectations are that studens will
Show courtesy and respect
Support the learning environment
Sit in their assigned seat (Be where they are supposed to be doing what they are supposed to be doing)
All electronics are to be invisible.
This is our AZTEC RAP: Respect, Accountability and Perserverance! Go Aztecs!
